Latest version: 1.0.55.23, SU-E55-2
Release date: February 19th 2016

This extension adds the CBE functionality to EUCARIS, and is deployed by EUCARIS System Updates. General information about system Updates can be found here.

Requirements

This extension requires:

Web client plugin

This extension installs a web client plugin for the default EUCARIS web client which supports single (synchronous) CBE requests.

Service plugin

This extension installs the required service plugin and adds the CBE services, authorisation, logging, and XSDs to the EUCARIS core. After installation EUCARIS is able to receive and transfer single (synchronous) and multiple (asynchronous) CBE messages.

Installation

The System Update 16-5 (SU-U16-5 or higher) must be installed prior to this extension. The installation process is described in detail in the “EUCARIS – Installation and Operation Manual.pdf” document, available on this site **.

Upgrade notes

This is a cumulative update. Previous CBE System Updates do not have to be uninstalled prior to this update. Any existing translated languages, local services configuration, user profiles and logging configuration is retained.

Configuration

Please check for (and install) a new Configuration Update after the installation of this update. If there is no new Configuration Update available make sure to reload the last received Configuration Update using the Configuration Tool (Menu > File > Load Configuration Update and select the last Configuration Update received).

Known issues

No issues known.

Changelog

Below enlists the features of the latest release.

  • Enhancements for statistics:
    • updated plugin to use new business logic from core to retrieve ServiceLog entries,
    • better filtering of sCBE request sent and sCBE response received to exclude messages where recipient is sender country.
    • Tables ‘Table 3: Outbound requests by response result’ and ‘Table 6: Inbound requests by response result’ have been altered into ‘Table 3: Inbound responses by result’ and ‘Table 6: Outbound responses by result’. In the new version, tables 3 and 6 are only based on CBE response messages. They are not related to the corresponding requests anymore, mainly because these requests may lie in another (previous) statistics period. Furthermore the existence of non-unique MessageIDs (identifying CBE batches), in spite of our instructions to use a GUID, gave major problems.
The individual requests (cases) are counted independently of the number of messages in which they are delivered. Therefore most figures in the tables are reliable. However the number of inbound messages cannot be determined in a reliable way. Therefore you are requested to ignore the columns ‘Number of mCBE batches’ and ‘Average number per batch’ from tables 4 and 7. These columns will be removed in a coming release.
    • A second issue is that each message in mCBE messages will be logged (and counted) with every retry, when delivery of the mCBE message to a Member State does not succeed because of a system failure in that MS. Logging functionality will be reconsidered and possibly adapted in a future release.

Testing

The NL test & acceptance server will be available for testing CBE messages. Please contact EUCARIS Operations if you want to start testing.
