This extension adds the DLInfo functionality to EUCARIS, and is deployed by EUCARIS System Updates. General information about system Updates can be found here.

Requirements

This extension requires:

Web client plugin

This extension installs a web client plugin for the default EUCARIS web client which supports DLInfo requests.

Service plugin

This extension installs the required service plugin and adds the DLInfo services, authorisation, logging, and XSDs to the EUCARIS core. After installation EUCARIS is able to receive and transfer DLInfo messages.

Installation

The required System Update must be installed prior to this extension. The installation process is described in detail in the “EUCARIS – Installation and Operation Manual.pdf” document, available on this site **.

Upgrade notes

This is a cumulative update. Any previous System Updates do not have to be uninstalled prior to this update. Any existing translated languages, local services configuration, user profiles and logging configuration is retained.

Configuration

Please check for (and install) a new Configuration Update after the installation of this update. If there is no new Configuration Update available make sure to reload the last received Configuration Update using the Configuration Tool (Menu > File > Load Configuration Update > Reload latest downloaded Configuration Update).

Testing

The NL test & acceptance server will be available for testing DLInfo messages. Please contact EUCARIS Operations if you want to start testing.

  • This extension contains a fix for 2 issues preventing from requesting data from some other member states (where amongst GB).
    • Detailed information:
      The DLInfo extension SU-E72 contains 2 issues:

      1. The SenderOrganisationCode and SenderOrganisationDescription for each request is fixes and will contain “5, NATIONAL CONTACT POINT”, regardless of the profile of the current logged on user (the profile contains a Sender Organisation setting per user). Though this is technically a valid value, it is not specified in the DLInfo specifications. Some countries (where amongst GB) will reject a request containing “5, NATIONAL CONTACT POINT” with an error “SEARCH INPUT NOT CORRECT”.
      2. In each request the header element “SenderOrganisationName” is populated. Though this is technically a valid value, it is not specified in the DLInfo specifications. Some countries (where amongst GB) will reject a request containing “SenderOrganisationName” with an error “SEARCH INPUT NOT CORRECT”.
