Acceptance test of a new local data service
During the acceptance test of a service we will ask you to perform inquiries to EUCARIS Operations (EUCOP) and we will perform inquiries to you (acceptance environment). We will then analyze the request and response messages. If a Memberstate chooses to use the default EUCARIS web client, than we will not test the request messages send to EUCOP.
EUCOP doesn’t have a register, but uses a stub to simulate response messages.
The latest overview of available test data in country EUCOP can be downloaded here:
Before we start the acceptance tests we would like to ask you to:
- Read the acceptance plan of the specific service;
- Fill in the testdata we need to perform the acceptance test in the testdata Excel sheet and return this document to eucaris2help@rdw.nl;
- Fill in the data overview and return this document to eucaris2help@rdw.nl;
- Indicate whether you intend to use the default Eucaris web client or develop a customized (web)client;
The data overview will need to contain the following information:
- How the requests are processed by your respective Member State, i.e.; Which search criteria are used and which format of the registration number is supported.
- Which elements are returned in the response message and some explanation, if needed.
The test packs can be found here:
Please return the documents requested and inform us when you want to start the acceptance test. Keep in mind that on average two to three test rounds have to be executed before all observed errors are fixed and a positive advice can be given, it is therefore advised to have developers available during the acceptance test.
The data overview documents are available on www.eucaris.net and can be used by other Member States to get information about your data provision.
** Valid credentials are required to access the files on this site. Credentials can be requested via EUCARIS Operations
Testing with the EC Movehub
There are several services which also requires an acceptance test with the EC Movehub.
Send an email to ec-movehub-testing@ec.europa.eu to apply for an acceptance test with the EC Movehub.
You can find more tips for the tests with the EC Movehub at Tips for testing with the EC Movehub – EUCARIS
Acceptance testing after go-live
Once a Member State has successfully passed the initial acceptance test and are authorized in production, it can happen that the local data service is updated to a newer version. Or the EUCARIS web client is replaced by a customized client application.
These changes can be tested within the Member State without testing this with EUCOP. The National Contact Point will be responsible for the test. However we do advise to consult EUCARIS Operations if significant changes are made to a system.
