Use of the EUCARIS system

Cyprus is participant of EUCARIS and providing vehicle and driving licence informationbased on the EUCARIS Treaty.

In addition Cyprus is making use of the EUCARIS technology for information exchange based on

• the EU Prüm Council Decisions (2008/615/JHA and 2008/616/JHA),
• the 3rd Driving Licence Directive (2006/126/EU) and
• legislation concerning the European Register of Road Transport Undertakings (ERRU), the regulations (EU) No 1071/2009, 1072/2009, 1073/2009 and 1213/2010.

In addition Cyprus is busy with the implementation of EUCARIS for the Road Safety Directive (2015/413/EU).
