Use of the EUCARIS system

Slovakia is member of EUCARIS and is providing vehicle and driving licence information based on the EUCARIS Treaty.

In addition Slovakia is making use of the EUCARIS technology for information exchange based on

• the EU Prüm Council Decisions (2008/615/JHA and 2008/616/JHA),
• the 3rd Driving Licence Directive (2006/126/EU) and
• the Road Safety Directive (2015/413/EU).

Since 1 October 2015 Slovakia exchanges mileage information via EUCARIS based on bilateral agreements.
