Use of the EUCARIS System
The Netherlands is participant of EUCARIS and is providing vehicle and driving licence information based on the EUCARIS Treaty.
In addition the Netherlands is making use of the EUCARIS technology for information exchange based on
- the EU Prüm Council Decisions (2008/615/JHA and 2008/616/JHA),
- the 3rd Driving Licence Directive (2006/126/EU, RESPER),
- the Road Safety Directive (2015/413/EU, CBE),
- legislation concerning the European Register of Road Transport Undertakings (ERRU), the regulations (EU) No 1071/2009, 1072/2009, 1073/2009 and 1213/2010,
- the Roadside Inspection Directive (2014/45/EU,RSI),
- a bilateral agreement with Germany about the exchange of owner/holder information for traffic fines,
- the interoperable EU-wide eCall (Delegated Regulation (EU) No 305/2013),
- Tachograph card data exchange (TACHOnet) between the European registration authorities related to the Council Regulation (EEC) No 3821/85,
- The European electronic toll service Directive (2004/52/EC, EETS),
- the exchange of mileage information based on bilateral agreements and
- CoC data exchange between vehicle type approval authorities.
