Latest version: 7.0.104.2018, SU-E104-2
Release date: April 19th, 2021
This extension adds the eCall functionality to EUCARIS, and is deployed by EUCARIS System Updates. General information about system Updates can be found here.
Changelog
Below enlists the features of the latest release.
- Removed fixed data schema
Requirements
This update requires:
- an installation of EUCARIS release 7 running on Windows server 2008/2012 using Microsoft SQL Server (all editions) or Oracle (all editions).
- System Update SU-U45-3 or higher)
- the latest version of the EUCARIS Configuration tool installed on the EUCARIS server.
Web client plugin
This update installs a web client plugin for the default EUCARIS web client. Add authorised users to the ´ECall Users´ Windows Group to use this web client plugin.
Service plugin
This update installs the required service plugin and adds the eCall services, authorisation, logging, and XSDs to the EUCARIS core. After installation EUCARIS is able to receive and transfer eCall messages.
Installation
The required System Update must be installed prior to this extension. The installation process is described in detail in the “EUCARIS – Installation and Operation Manual.pdf” document, available on this site.
Upgrade notes
This is a cumulative update. Any previous System Updates do not have to be uninstalled prior to this update. Any existing translated languages, local services configuration, user profiles and logging configuration is retained.
Configuration
This update automatically checks for the latest available Configuration Update. If there is a new Configuration Update available, it will be downloaded and installed. If no newer Configuration Update is available, the latest downloaded Configuration Update is re-applied to assure the correct configuration for this new extension.
The eCall service plugin has two optional functions that can be switched on in the Eucaris.Services.Plugin.eCall.config:
OrchestrateLocalFirst:By setting this setting to true the EUCARIS eCall service plugin will change the handling of MCI requests. In case of a MCI request a single request will be sent to the local country first. If the localcountry response is “found” and the registration is active no further requests will be done to other countries. If the vehicle was “not found” or the registration is inactive the plugin will forward the request to all countries authorised. Since most eCalls in a country will be from locally registred vehicles this will lower the load on the EUCARIS network and servers in other member states.
ProcessResponse:By setting this setting to true the EUCARIS eCall service plugin will proces the responses received to find the best one. It will try to give the best response based on all responses given in an MCI response.
Known issues
No known issues.
Testing
The NL test & acceptance server will be available for testing eCall messages. Please contact EUCARIS Operations if you want to start testing.
